Taking Care of Business
Processes and policies save time, money and make your business
more valuable
We all carry how we work and the systems we use doing our jobs
in our heads, few actually write it down. Learn how to be prepared
when you get a phone call that your secretary, delivery driver
or foreman will be off work for at least six weeks because they
were in an accident. What are some of the practices used by successful
franchises that can save you time and money?
One of the reasons franchises succeed is they have documented
the processes they have found work. Anyone can make a hamburger,
but if you are making thousands per day they must be consistent
and so you have a recipe. Employees need three things from their
employers - support, structure and challenge, having the processes
in place provides the structure.
Successful businesses, large and small, have found having standard
policies and procedures in place saves time and money in training
staff, ensures constancy and for smaller businesses makes them
more valuable when it comes time to sell them.
