Helen has twenty years of experience in the field of human services with proven results including nominations and awards for outstanding service. She has facilitated a variety of programs, including board development, program planning, designing, implementing and evaluating workshops Helen’s management experience working with a variety of not-for-profit agencies in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and the West Indies gives her a breadth of knowledge.
To match Helen’s working knowledge she also has a Masters Degree in Adult Education, Thesis titled, “Learning Effective Managerial Practices”, St. FX University, Antigonish, NS and a certificate in Conflict Management, Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society. Her passion is learning and her goal is to make every workshop interactive and experiential.
Much of Helen’s time has been spent in community work with multi-cultural and high-needs groups. Her ability to understand and work with diversity plus create partnerships within the community or a group makes her a perfect presenter.
