An entrepreneur, for over 27 years, David grew his first company from one man to a full service advertising agency in less than 2 years. His second company was born during a major recession. Through an innovative marketing approach, his firm grew to become one of Western Canada’s leading full service marketing communication firms. Today, David is the founder and CEO of Spark Communications Inc.

An Internationally sought after speaker, for the past 17 years, David has a repertoire of presentations focusing on the innovation processes. Combining lessons from his expertise in the marketing and advertising world and his leadership insights David has a unique ability to connect with his audiences through his entertaining, upbeat style, delivering practical, content rich information that audiences can implement immediately. In addition to running Spark Communications, David was instrumental in the foundation of two professional associations. He is a founding Board Member and a Past-President of the Calgary Chapter of CAPS and a Past National Director of CAPS (the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers). He has presented at five of the Canadian national conventions and three IFPS (International Federation of Professional Speakers) conventions. He is also the founder and Past-President of the western chapter of CAPIC (the Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communication) and immediate Past Chair of Small Business Week for the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.
